PREPARATIONS OF PAPER PATTERNS
We work strictly in the traditional British bespoke manner (template development, fittings process etc.) to ensure that the garments not only fit but also flatter your body shape.

CREATING THE EMBROIDERY DESIGN
Hand embroidery is a time sensitive business and demands tremendous responsibilities
Before we can actually begin any hand embroidery there are numerous exacting steps to be followed such as fabric sourcing, fabric dyeing, etc. Whilst these steps are being done, the artist will prepare the design for the garment. Here you can see a graphic artist of our artwork team carefully tracing out your design on tracing paper. This tracing paper serves as the blue print of the embroidery. In India we call this traced paper the “Khaka”.
TEMPLATE TRACING
In order to transform the traced image on to the actual fabric miniscule pin holes are made by hand over all the relevant outlines of the design. Here you can see one of the hand embroidery workers busy doing punching work.
TRANSFER OF TEMPLATE
Once the tracing paper is punched it is printed onto the fabric. Printing is the process by which the image of the tracing paper is superimposed upon the base fabric. A special solution is used to print. The solution seeps through the tiny holes created during the punching process and gives the hand embroidery workers a clear outline to work on.
Hand Embroidery
Hand Embroidery is an expression of self, rendered with patience and dedicated hard work. It is an art rightly described as “painting by needle”. Embroidery adds grace, elegance, life and style into the garment.
The Indian embroidery stitches belongs to no special caste, community or sex. The art is hereditary like so many other skills in India. It is passed down from father to son or from mother to daughter. Creativity is an unfettered thing. It will spill over into ever possible realm.
Seated on the floor with paper designs before them, some skilled artisans meticulously follow the colour scheme and items to be used to create a distinctive design. There are bunch of senior artists who picks the embellishments that are incorporated in the embroidery design. These embellishments are sourced from all over the world to create master piece embroidery.
CUSTOM TAILORED FOR PERFECT FITTING
Our Custom designs are individually designed, cut, and sewn by master tailors. Using only the finest tailoring materials each garment is a work of art unto itself. Most of the interlining, canvas, cups, bones, press button strips, etc. are imported for this one of a kind garment.
To ensure that your dress will still fit you perfectly even in near future, our tailors will create dresses with additional fabric in the seams to allow minor size modifications. If for some reason if you still require some alterations to the design, you will have to go to a local tailor or a professional seamstress to have the dress re-sized at your own cost.
As we get the full measurements from the clients twice – Once when they place their order and once when the order is ready to be stitched, any changes in the measurement will be taken care of before the order is despatched. This way client may not have any requirement for the alterations.
